NHS PATIENTS

nhs pATIENTS

We provide free NHS dental treatment to those patients who are entitled to claim it. NHS appointments are not available on Saturdays.

We do not provide fee paying NHS treatment.

We will provide free NHS dental treatment to you if you:
-           are under 18 years old
-           are aged 18 and in full time education
-           are pregnant, or had a baby in the 12 months before your treatment started
-           are included in a qualifying government benefit

Please bring your proof of entitlement with you to your appointment.

Treatment necessary to maintain your dental health will be provided, however, there are some treatments that are excluded under the NHS and you would be expected to pay our private fees for.

You should always check with your dentist whether your treatment is private or NHS. If you're entitled to free NHS treatment and the treatment you receive is a mixture of NHS and private, you will still have to pay for the private treatment.

If you are unsure whether the benefit you receive entitles you to free NHS dental treatment please visit the NHS website: www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/healthcosts under ‘Help with NHS Dental Costs’, ‘Free NHS Dental Treatment’

If you are still unsure whether you are entitled to free NHS treatment or are waiting to find out we advise that you pay for your treatment as a private patient.

It is your responsibility to check whether you are entitled before you declare that you don’t have to pay. If you claim free NHS dental treatment that you are not entitled to you may be fined by the NHS; you could face a penalty charge of up to £100 - as well as the original treatment charge. An additional charge of up to £50 may apply if you don’t pay within the required timescale.
